Sadly the whole internet has no information about how to edit/increase pop limit. Also, I want to decrease houses giving +10pop to +5. Similar question is asked here, but unanswered:
Howdo you increase the population limit to above 500? Also I have made a custom map, but it is not appearing in the normal vs AI list in single player, so I have to put it in a custom campaign which limits the population to 200. Sowhat this does is set the population of every unit that originally had a population value of 2 or above to 0, aswell as increase the build limit of all defensive building to 99. Therefore, troops that occupy 1 population and Settlers still occupy 1 population (couldn't work around it in a way that doesn't break the game). Allyou do is set up a multiplayer game with just you as a human player. You can then change the limit to 200 aganist the CP. If you edit the AI files you can make the CP build up to the 200 pop limit. I've done that and Age of Empires never crashed. Mind, I've only ever player 1v1 though. C e n t u r i o n Z _ 1.
