I opted to get the 3.0 X5 for my wife. It was primarily a price issue. I could get a fully loaded brand new 3.0 for less and with a better lease deal than a 1 year-old 4.4 X5 with 19K miles. I installed an aFe cold air intake and our Eurobahn Superchips software on her X5 and added 25 to 30 HP. The aFe on a 3.0 liter engine gets an additional 20HP.
